MOSSBLOGS an info-journal
4/21/03 Back from California
Much fun was had by all, many events....but there's no time or space for a "dear diary". If anyone is interested, go to the forum and dig for it...there are a few announcements and a few posts...in fact, there are photos...yes, I remember now. Basically, the show went well, there was tons of press, there were meetings on monday and photoshoot/interviews on Tues, left on Wed. after picking up cases and made long trek across dry gultch - where there was nothing but skulls and lizards and tumbleweeds and we did see two dead cows and lot's of indianesque merchandise to buy. We finally made it back to the beautiful, lush, green, pine-forested, oak-laden, cerulean saturated skies that color our humble little town - Tyler, Texas. It was an amazing week, and we're glad to be home. See you guys next weekend at the Gypsy Tea room with Midlake and Radiant. (Sat. night) And with the Flying Machine on Sunday night.
4/21/03 Stormy Weather
It's glum outside and we have the thread of massive hail and T-storms. We leave for Palm Springs in the morning. woah...butterflies. First long road trip. Big crowds, new experiences... Coachella here we come. Will check the forum while out. Bye everybody. much love. eisley out.
4/16/03 Best New Act - Dallas Observer Awards
Thanks everyone - that was fun; we were shocked. Stacy didn't even know we were up for an award. (information chain sometimes breaks down in big family) Mike Mogis was there! (Bright Eyes - produced 5 songs for us in Nebraska) Anyway, we're going to see Bright Eyes tonight at Trees.... ya'll come out. Meet Mike and Conner. Thats all for now. Thanks so much for voting for us, if you did. If you didn't, that's ok because we really like the other nominee's and their bands. Here's the link to Zac Crain's review..his article about eisley last night: http://www.dallasobserver.com/issues/2003-04-17/feature.html/5/index.html
4/15/03 Dallas Observer Awards Show This Tuesday night.
Jack Ingram, Eisley,Sorta, Queen for a Day, John Price. Doors open at 7:30. This is a Free show, but ticketed by the Gypsy Tea Room. I don't know how that works. I guess there's a limited number and you get them at the door. (?) But, their site say's "cover charge: Free"....then later, "Tickets available at the Gypsy Tea Room". See you there.
4/11/03 It's all too weird
Peeps in the house - W. Coast, NY....click, click..boof...boof...Entertainment Weekly. Info on forum. But, HEY!! if anyone wants to go to a show, you could hear eisley...and/or other bands TUESDAY night. (not Thursday, Scott) Gypsy Tea Room. DALLAS OBSERVER AWARDS thing. (thing?) FREE. for real...(FREE). Don't get this confused with the Eisley, Radiant, Midlake show on May 10th. no. don't. That is all. Forum people rule.
4/08/03 Thoreau would marvel in wonderment
Never a more perfect day in the rose capitol of the world. ...the azalea trails are in full bloom, rose buds are unfurrowing their floral-essence, wild flowers have littered our unmowed lawn, the wind is blowing about 35 miles per hour, tonight it'll be 32 degrees and we'll turn our floor furnaces on and play like Spring is a reality. On a different note, last night the band's new Tour manager/front of house guy - Matt Bishop and our new guitar tech - Chris Carr (who does most everything also) drove down from Dallas to work with the girls on guitar tone, assesssed needs, talked pedals, tubes, chunk, humbuckers vs single coil, SG's vs Les Pauls, Vox's vs Fender amps, etc. So....we're getting set for touring. Working on getting cases for everything, going over the rigorous schedule...and all. And we stayed up yacking till 5:00am. That's it. Have a great day. bd
4/5/03 What words to say?
We're Spring cleaning/decorating. Everything is chaotic and cluttered. Hopefully we'll strike light in the tunnel soon. We love our house; it's a fun place to live. Anyway, we have WB peeps coming down with Entertainment Weekly for some interview/photo thing....so, we thought they shouldn't have to deal with our crap! Well, and truth be told, all this decorating is especially for the soon arrival of our favorite manager, Dave Holmes, who is coming for a visit (after a week in the UK with Coldplay) to hang out with us and work with new sound/production crew - especially since we have to use those stupid in-ear monitor's now. That's all for now. oh...most information and news can be found on the forum that's now up. Click that circle below. Thanks. Eisley.
3/30/03 THE FORUM IS UP. FOR REAL
New link on front flash page. For anyone who can't get in to the flash page for some reason, the url is: http://64.176.138.51/index.php Look forward to getting back in touch with our extended family. All the old data is there. Just log in with your old user/password (for previous board members). Newcomers - feel welcome to check us out. People are nice, there's no snobby, seniority issues. Talk about music, anything, eisley....annonymous....whatever. cool. boyd
3/29/03 Forum is back up!
But not accessible just yet. (wait for it...wait for it...) We're still tweaking. We have a new host - new url. Check back tomorrow eve or night and I'll toss up a link on the flash page. I'll throw down an "Announcement" blurb in there to kick it off. All files and data are intact! Sheesh...what a long wait, but what a relief. On another note: wow - that Rolling Stone blurb....(we finally saw it)...man oh boy.....gollydarn....woah-gaz...dang.
3/26/03 First e-blast went out Today.
Only names harvested from our front page recieved the lengthy update. Forum back up within a day or two under a new url. Check here since I won't be sending out another email for a while. It could be tonight or tomorrow.
3/27/03 Rolling Stone !?
Crazy as it sounds to us, guess we're in this months issue of Rolling Stone magazine. David Fricke was at Stubbs (sxsw) and weighed in on us.....with photos. We haven't seen it. Somebody tell us if it's bad or good. The cover has Lisa Marie Presley on it. Also there's a pic of Stacy on the MTV site under sxsw in a flipbook. And Entertainment Weekly did a few lines and are following up with a full bio/story in a few weeks...etc. And lastly, we found out today we're opening the mainstage at V-Festival for Coldplay and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Strange times. We're very thankful....and probably undeserving. Thanks Dave H. and Marty D. and...Steve S. and whoever else rigged this one up.
3/26/03 Vote for us if you want dallasobserver.com music awards.
There's a link at the top of their site. We're playing the awards show....our only show on the books in the Dallas area. Thanks everybody. Eisley
3/23/03 HOME SWEET HOME
Fighting the LA airport the day of the Oscars during the first week of war with Iraq with stepped up security was a major stress. We almost missed our flight. Thank God we're back in good ole green, beautiful East Texas where you can see further than one city block. So, we have a new rocking version of Telescope Eyes, TreeTops and a rough mix of a new song - all as candidates to be on the new ep. John Goodmanson (Hot Hot Heat and many more) did a great job as did Mike Mogis in Nebraska. We'll be getting final mixes from Mike this week and make our final decision as to which 4 songs go on the ep. Also, WB is talking about making a 2 song freebie for the Coldplay dates. More....Hey! Someone emailed us and told us we've been nominated for a few awards and you can go vote at http://www.dallasobserver.com/musicawards/2003/index.html if you want. The Dallas Observer 2003 Music Awards will announce the winners on April 15th at the Gypsy Tea Room.. We're getting in on this late in the game...not sure if we have a chance at winning "best female vocals of the year" and "best new act of the year". You can fill in anyband's name you like. It's very fair. We're not trying to hype this up. Either way, we'll be there. So much to tell. We have to get the forum back up and get an eblast out. love you guys. Eisley.
3/23/03 Leaving for Texas
Finished mixing in the early hours of the morning and we're headed home. Forum up soon. Bye for now.
3/20/03 Reporting in
Hey. What's up? In case anyone is interested, we're tracking Telescope Eyes and TreeTops. It's sounding really great. Tons of energy...power....very rock. John Goodmanson from Seattle is producing these few songs; he's really amazing; Totally pro. He's got a great ear...works really well with the band. Everyone is pumped over the sounds he's getting. If we have time, we're going to track a new song: "I wasn't prepared for this". A few of you Dallas friends might have heard it live...like, once. Anyway, this is the studio where "Bleed American" was tracked. so...whatever that means. Hey, we're still getting great feedback from sxsw - can't talk about stuff that's brewing now, but....lots of new press in the works. We miss everyone back home. bye.
3/17/03 Sunset Blvd
We're at this cool little post modern-avant garde hotel within walking distance to a Starbucks, a Virgin record store, a music store, a McDonalds and a Subway. We're set. Tracking today. WB and Nettwerk peeps gathering the right gear from SIR. It's 55 degrees, sunny and crisp. Weston is playing a Lionel Hampton disk...scratch that, now Buddy Rich...he just bought and life it good. EP in progress. For all you sxsw'erners that Chauntelle promised you could order the last ep, hmmm....we're not really set up for that, but we can try. 5 bucks and a mailing address could work. Send it to band@mosseisley.com Out for now.
3/16/03 SXSW finale
Thanks to all the people who came to the ASCAP showcase tonight at Stubbs in Austin. No need to talk it up. Those of you were there know all about it. What an amazing crowd....and getting to play in such an amazing line up from the UK. Thanks to all for such encouraging words. Great to meet so many people...very cool. We'll be recording for a week (LA) before returning back home. goodnight and thanks again.
3/15/03 Having a blast
It's 2:30am. We just got home from the Fire Theft show, which was amazing. Today we saw, Hot Hot Heat, Death Cab for Cutie, Granddaddy, Spoon, Radiant and others. The two show's we've seen at Stubbs were very cool; not sure how many the large outdoor venue holds, but I'm guessing there were....ahh, I shouldn't. We're playing at the same stage tomorrow at 9:00. All looking forward to it; management and label guys are all here.....having fun. It continues tomorrow. Well, better go for now. Sleep awaits. btw. nobody go to the images page this week. The files are all digitally wacked. (ftp transfer issue...will resolve next week. I'll be rebuilding and updating the entire page soon)
3/14/03 Hey everybody
We're here in Austin, TX having much fun at SXSW - going to shows, hanging out etc. Pretty cool place; A glorified Deep Ellum; So far we got kicked out of the Ester Drang venue because Stacy and Weston are minors, saw Midlake today (21and up club looked the other way), saw much of the Barsuc (indie lable) showcase tonight (Midlake got us and minors in), got our trailer hitch stolen, drank great coffee, shopped at a cool thrift store, walked miles, drove around for accumulative hours looking for parking, updated web from remote with new Apple Titanium; Tomorrow, Nettwerk and WB are twisting our arm to go hear Hot Hot Heat and meet the band (free food is also good); Tomorrow night we're going to hear Fire Theft (former Sunny Day Real Estate), Radiant, Death Cab for Cutie and others. Saturday night is Eisley's showcase....looking forward to it. Hey, please ignore the bogus outdated shows on the flash page to the right...I can't update the files right now. I'll make some changes next week in LA. (forum still down, working with gRegor to get files transferred over to WB site. thanks for your patience) Ya'll take care. Boyd
3/10/03 Leaving for SXSW
We'll be there all week - hanging out, going to shows, learning as much as possible. Our showcase is Saturday night at Stubbs BBQ (ASCAP). Line up: Ed Harcourt, Eisley, Polyphonic Spree, The Corals, Supergrass. Looks like our show is at 9:00 pm (all ages club). Sunday afternoon, we're off to LA to finish up our ep which will be released in stores May 14th - just prior to joining the Coldplay tour on the 21st. (see their site for schedule) And, yes...the forum is still down as of this date.(sorry! it's terrible) We'll have much to talk about when we're back up. In the mean time, we'll update you guys with these blurbs while we're gone. Take care. Love, Eisley
3/3/03 NEWS It's official.
The new name is Eisley. We are all so very excited and hope you still love us even though we lopped off the front end of our old name. Now we're not tethered anymore; we're free to move forward without anyone coming after us legally. It's sorta like we're in this hot air balloon and we just cut the rope. Just....Eisley. Extensive trademark searches have already been conducted. We're clear. And so far, it seems like it's not a huge leap for anyone - it's so simple...one word, easy to remember, carries forward 1/2 of our old name - so that's cool. We really felt connected to the old name and didn't want to go in some new direction. Anyway, the Beatles dropped "silver" from their name and, well...we still love their music. Nothing is set yet as far as graphics - (note the subtle change on the front page). That will take some time. Soon, we will host the new domain name on the WB server which is surprisingly faster. In other news, sorry the php forum is still down; we can bring you up to speed when it's back up...at the latest by friday if not earlier. By the way! - We're playing with Radiant and OH NO on March the 8th at Club Clearview. That's this Saturday. ok. ok. bye.
2/23/03 Dang, the Forum is down!!
It's out of our control...which is why I'm moving everything to the WB server asap. Everything will be stable...never go down; and it'll serve up super fast. btw - thanks RevRoom and friends/fans (one and the same) who came out last night. That was amazing. Just got through looking at the video. Couldn't get the smile off my face :-) Too much fun for one night. Anyway, I'll keep you posted on events from right for now. No local shows booked. Getting ready for SXSW in few weeks. Click SXSW button below for our schedule on the SXSW site. More later. Have a great week. Great seeing Coldplay with the NY Philharmonic Orchestra tonight. Dave Holmes (Coldplay) and Terry McBride (Avril) were there. The Nora sweep was amazing.
2/10/03 RevRoom this Saturday
We might be crazy, but...we'd promised our friends at the RevRoom one of a few dates in coming months - but we were concerned about it ever happening so, since this Saturday is open - so, we're doing it. It's a small venue about an hour east of Dallas right off I-20. It might be crowded but who cares...the little place rocks hard and we love these people (and our friends that come), the sound is good, it's all ages, there's a snack bar, etc. Doors open at 7:30 pm, (3 bands before us) $5.00, we start about headline about 9:30 or so, directions should be on their site: revelationroom.com
2/15/03 TONIGHT MIDLAKE AND MOSSEISLEY @ Dan's Silverleaf in Denton: silverleafdenton.com 103 Industrial, Denton, Texas 76201
This will be the last "MossLake" show ever simply because things are changing rapidly and our name won't be "moss" anymore. We'll see you guys tonight. btw. something is wrong with our host's server today. It's not supposed to be this slow. Thanks.
2/14/03 IT'S CURTAINS FOR US ALL!!!
well, I don't know if you guys are coming to the Curtain Club tonight; we'll be there...doing our Valentines day show.... but, it might be a good evening for you guys to stay home or go out with that most special someone in your life. But if she/he likes rock music, then maybe it would be a romantic jesture to treat him/her to what lies behind the curtain. Looks like we're the 2nd band up - so, it that from 10:30 to 11:10 or so? DOORs OPEN AT 9:00pm. RADIANT opens!!! at 9:30!! I don't know what the cost is....$10? Don't know. But have a lovely day and eat lots of chocolate and those little hearts with messages on them.
2/10/03 CURTAIN CLUB
Hi. Great weekend everyone? We're fine. Dad is underneath the house ankle deep in....well, we're having plumbing problems...well, the worse kind. Yeah, I think he finally gave up and called somebody. Otherwise, it's a perfect winter day in North Texas. Friday night we'll be at the Curtain Club with a bunch of other bands - go to curtainclub.com to find out; also everyone will have access in and out of the Liquid Lounge - so check out their line up too. Saturday night we'll be at Dan's Silverleaf in Denton. (more on that when we get it) Have a great week and thanks to all who came out to Club 412 in Ft. Worth.
2/7/03 Hey Everybody
FRIDAY NIGHT we'll be at the Curtain Club. Elisthe, us, The Chemistry Set, The Sparrows but the everyone will have access to the Liquid Lounge and the bands on their stage also. Saturday night we'll be at Dan's Silverleaf in Denton with Midlake. More info on both of these shows as the week passes by very quickly. Meanwhile our plumbing is stopped up and Dad is underneath the house ankle deep in some pretty bad stuff. Yep, it's time to call a real plumber.
1/28/03 HI
How is everybody? cold? It's cold in our house. like, it never gets warm. We have this one old 30's furnace downstairs in our 30's home that is so wonderful - inset in this fireplace thing but we need more of them. The problem - since other rooms have carpet - well, we don't want to have those firey deals around, right? oh well. (rip up the carpet. wood floors are better)Hey, we just found out tonight from Dave and Darin (Nettwerk guys) that we'll get the new mixes for "Laughing City" ep on Monday. Mike Mogis and those guys have been in LA all week mixing. We can hardly wait... And, we're working on new songs and dad's working on the fun. ok. Go to shows page to see what's going on and where we'll be, when, etc. Come if you want. Don't come if you're cold and tired.
2/1/03 COLDPLAY IS GONE, BUT THE MEMORY LIVES ON
There's really no way to thank you guys in Houston, Austin, Dallas for the response. It was so cool to get to hang out with so many of our friends in Dallas on Friday night. (home crowd) We'll keep you posted on what's happening - as so much is changing so fast. Looks like there will be more Coldplay dates this summer! (Thanks to the guys in Coldplay and our amazing mutual manager Dave Holmes whom we love so much) We'll try to figure out what's happening with our up and coming shows locally this week and post them. 'till then...
1/28/03 COLDPLAY SHOWS
Make sure you get there super early. We open at 7:40 for each. Thanks.
1/26/03 COLDPLAY TOUR
Ever lived a fairy tail? Welp - that pretty much describes it. We figure on turning back into pumpkins next Friday night - a few hours after the last show of this Texas tour, but for now, we are SO going to the ball. Be thinking of us up on that scary stage, ok? Hope some of you guys were able to get tickets before they sold out. We'll be listening for the few claps in the nosebleed section, so...please make some noise so we don't freak out. We love you forever. Sherri.
SILENCING THE RUMORMILL
REALITY VERSUS FICTION.
The Main Article is at the bottom. Sorry for the lame single text line advance buttons. (working on solution) ----------------
BIG HYPED-UP UPDATE: 10/28/02
Informing you guys about what's happening behind the veil (music industry developments) is proving to be more difficult for us than we expected. What if we tell you stuff and it doesn't happen? Who wants to be like the boy that cried, "wolf" (or cried,"label"). How embarrassing and lame is that? Think how weird to actually send a message to "the wolf" that he's coming (to gobble you up?). Perhaps when the wolf gets the message, he backs off. (o.k...maybe a 'wolf" is a bad metaphor.)All of this thinking raises many questions: 1) How do we talk to two different audiences with only one message? (ideas?) 2) Do friends/fans even want to know what's going on behind the veil? (anwswer that) 3) Do we really want to get gobbled up? 4) Should we just let the rumormill spread out of control and let the pieces fall wherever? The one about Epic was nice. Anyway, it seems there's no other way around it...we just can't tell you what's happening. At least not blow by blow. Industry people wouldn't want us reporting about their interest in us and we don't want to report something until it's a fact. Probably for most of you, it's not on you're radar anyway.Suffice to say, there is always stuff happening behind the curtain. So, you're probably just gonna wake up one day click on mosseisley.com (only it'll probably be named something else like "Vader" or "Twisted Siblings") and you'll read on our splash page that we signed with "PoopleDork" - (some imprint of Yo Dawg )- distributed by BR549 and CD's will be released in GoodWill stores by 2005. Or maybe you'll just turn on Cable TV at 2:30am one morning to catch us playing our hit TV release: "Mr. Slice" or "Tread Against the Sky" (hey, infomercials pay...and afterall, it's all about the dough, right? o.k...."Sea Cash". ..suppose we could have a secret password protected area that only true blue fans could access. Pretty silly. ----------------
The Curtain Club 10/23/02
No way to put in words how meaningful this show was to/for us. Thanks to everyone who came out - bands like Midlake, Seven Channels (dear friends from the early days in Tyler), Radiant, old members of Animal Couch, Mistake Pageant, 40 and other "hipster" bands from Dallas...and especially, thanks to Drew for booking us on such a big night. We felt much love from everyone and the emails are over the top. Thanks Paul Bassman for coming and we're sorry we didn't all get to meet you and talk to you. You guys in the Feds are nice to the max and we're always so encouraged by your words. Wish we were anywhere close to being as good of a band as you. ----------------
http://newmusicfestival.com/
10/22/02
We just got news that we get to play this showcase festival - "The New Music Festival is North Texas' premier new music showcase dedicated to uncovering the area's best unsigned artists. From November 13 - 17, 2002, thousands of screaming fans will flood the streets and clubs of Dallas' Deep Ellum club district to watch more than 150 of their favorite new artists perform live on more than a dozen stages, all within a 2-3 block radius. New Music Festival 2001 showcased more than 150 artists from North Texas and the surrounding region on 12 different stages for more than 10,000 music fans and music industry professionals in the heart of downtown Dallas. Major labels with AandR reps in attendance included American Recordings, Atlantic Records, Capitol Records, Columbia Records, Epic Records, RCA Records, Roadrunner Records, Warner Bros., and more. ----------------
10/18/02 - 99X in Atlanta is playing our songs!
That's what we've been TOLD. 10/18 We'll find out more as info comes available. This is one of 3 top stations in the country. We've been invited to come down for a live interview and show. Seems crazy. More info as it develops. ----------------
Silencing the Rumormill
Just the facts, mam's
10/17
First of all, somebody told us they heard a rumor that we'd been signed to EPIC. uhh, no. We have no record deals in the works as of this moment. Everybody ok? True, after Cornerstone, the phone rang off the hook and we talked to many indie labels, but there have been developments we can talk about. It's true that we are basically being shopped (if that's the right term) right now. We signed a very important document on 9/12 with Michael Barber - a music attorney from Seattle, Washington, who was handed our CD directly after Cornerstone Festival from Aaron Sprinkle who was given our CD from long time friend - Josiah Holland, of "Holland" - (who's band recently signed to "Tooth and Nail"). Some of you might remember that Michael flew down from Seattle one week after he got the CD to see/hear us at our own little hometown venue, "BrewTones Coffee Galaxy". Things have picked up speed since then.Quick profile on Michael: well, besides the fact that he's very cool, loves all our favorite bands and zillions more and has recorded and launched great bands like "The Standard" from his own indie label, he's a very successful music attorney who has many years of experience in law, has an audience with key people in the record industry . He recently signed white-knuckled-emo-punk-seattle rockers -"Vendetta Red" to Epic after an escalating bidding war with DreamWorks in what seems to have recieved national industry press. Vendetta Red was playing small local indie clubs just months ago is now playing stadium venues, sharing the stage with well known arena-rock bands and recently toured in the UK. (woah...) Secondly, he's finishing a close on another Seattle band - "Acceptance" to Columbia Records. More on that another time.Anyway, you get the idea. Michael is talking to industry people right now about us. Does that mean anyone will want to put MossEisley in their shopping cart? nope. It just means we're on the shelf with hundreds or thousands of other bands. No guarantee's. So, for now...we're just doing what we do: writing, working, playing shows. If anything happens that's newsworthy, we'll try to toss it in this section. Anyway, now that we have some dynamic text tossed in here, we can update information without the usual flash headaches. Stay tuned if you want -OR you can turn the channel to more important news.....like the eventual debut release from "Fire Theft" - formerly Sunny Day Real Estate. Go check out what John DeSpirito is reporting on them. ( Sherri emails him from time to time; a real nice guy...actually likes MossEisley) http://www.sunnydayrealestate.net/home.html (copy and paste).

ALMOST HEADLINES: Flurries and tidbits and slices
Read the old posts, but updating this seems like a chore since we can post silly facts on the MossBoard. News goes in the "announcement" section. ----------------
Stacy Turns14 10/12/02
Last week, lil' song writer Stacy turned 14. If you want to watch a tiny movie clip of her blowing out the candles, you can go to this link. It's not very long so go download it: http://hansonworks.com/StacyBirthday.mov (paste it in the url blank). Otherwise, if you don't want to, then..whatever you do, DO NOT GO THERE. The total sum of the age of the band is now 87. By the end of the year, they will be 89. In other news, our dog is driving us and our neighbors crazy, our bus is still dead but we got new tires and brakes for our Suburban - which is cool, but we really miss the bus. Weston keeps the band in tears. No, he keeps the entire family in tears. Don't go here, but if you want to see Weston playing the role of the star from a recent movie featuring Beatle songs, you can watch him mock MossEisley's lack of knowledge in of the music industry. Go to this link: http://www.tylervineyard.com/sillyweston.mov ----------------
The Death of the MossBus 9/21/02
Yesterday, our 1970 Groovy Moss Bus died after loud clattering was heard in the engine room. Reports of the noise came in the form of shreiks from band members as the new Cold Play CD was blaring at high decibals. In a dissapointing twist of fate, the news of it's serious doom (there are varieties of doom) Celullular MicroSoft mogul/automechanic Clay DuPree told the band members, "I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but I think it's a pretty serious engine problem....like, from the sound of it (we put the phone in the engine room) you've thrown a rod on one of your cylinders or worse." After gasps and outbursts of anquish, the Moss people made plans to abandon the bus at nearby renown club owners, The Ellis's - Revelation Room. During a week of sickness, finger smashing, and rain, this was simply the final straw of hope-dashing, despair. But please, do not "pity the fool"...for one day, (writer chokes and runs from the computer clutching handkerchief without spellcheck) ----------------
Theives Steel Digital Camera 8/20/02
Earlier ago, all Moss family members grieved as we came to the startling reality that our Olympus 3.something megapixel digital camera had been stolen from our 99 Suburan. Local cops were grieved and cried many tears, but their "hands are tied" since they can do nothing about theft unless they happen to be sitting in your car when the robbery occurs. "Gosh, we're sorry", they said to MossEisley's mom. And MossEisley's mom said, "this is the 7th time we've been hit in 3 years"... for you see, purses, bicycles, cats and many many elevators have been stolen as well (the cats were actually taken by the pound so it's not theft as much as it is murder). Reports from family members are coming in as the saddened enclave of self-absorbed photojournalists are now without a way to photograph their rock band. Stacy, sullen, had this to say: "i dunno....it feels....scary, since we know someone stole our camera from right out in the front of our house; it makes me want to find those kids or burgulars and just git em'". Moments later, Weston retorted, "well, I just think I might git mah dad's shotgun and wait in the dark after leavin' a trap.....(like, say we put a big fake camera in the front yard and just wait)....then, ya know, wehn they fall for the bait....(oh and dey wiwl), I just throw one into the chamber and scare the poop out of em; that'd be real emo, huh.....(laughs)" ---------------------------------
