In September of 2006, Eisley traveled from Tyler to Malibu so they could begin recording their second full-length album. Producer Richard Gibbs hosted the band at his home studio. All the developments, complete with pictures and video, are available in this section of Tales from Trolleywood.
Eisley unveiled quite a few contenders for the next full-length on their 2006 Final Noise tour. They included:
Many Funerals Others remain shrouded in mystery with only titles to tease us. Here are just a few that have been mentioned on the official website:
Go Away Boyd has hinted that there are a couple dozen new songs to pick from, so of course there are plenty others of which fans are not aware. Some live recordings of songs played on tour were made available through the official site, and Sherri was kind enough to post the lyrics to several new songs in the Laughing City forum so fans could sing along. "Taking Control"
when we get down/If we get down
you've been taking control of our lives
if we get down/when we get down
can you find it
you've been making a joke of our lives ----- "I Could Be There For You"
she's made of sulfur in the night i could be there for you love is a false dart driven into your heart and i could be there for you
would someone please walk through with me
you never contemplate that i am near
and I could be there for you ----- "Invasion"
the colorless words are burning our heels as the bright lights
oh something's not right, i can feel it inside
you would take the breath from my throat
all in time you will be one of us painless, us blameless
and they will try to make us forget ourselves oh something's not right, i can feel it inside
you would take the breath from my throat ------ "We Feel Good"
i feel so good inside and from my left side you wont take it
but you make the world go 'round and 'round
i was so wrong about you
i will if you will too ----- "Like the Actors"
dust was supplied in the making of the movie
the content was explicit, i don't know what was with it
you were young you thought you were so ugly
down and down, we fall down like the actors shot
oh we're all the same, all we want is a good bit of fame |
