Independent Recordings

These tracks were all recorded and distributed before Eisley was signed to Warner Brothers. They belong to the band, who have very generously released them for free to anyone who's interested.

"Head Against the Sky"
"Mr. Pine"
"Over the Mountains"
"Blackened Crown"
"Dream for Me"
"Laughing City"
"Telescope Eyes"

Early Demos

These MossEisley tracks have circulated among Eisley fans. Some are more elusive than others.

"Becoming You" - This extremely rare track once suffered from pops and clicks from lossy copies of the file, but Eisley forum member Cutieflutie cleaned it up and it sounds great.

"Pretender" - Once only available through P2P or a filetransfer with another Eisley fan, this track from EP1 has since been abandoned by the band, but remains a fan favorite.

"Sleepy Head" - This very early track never made it onto any of MossEisley's EPs, though stylistically it's very similar to other older, heavier Moss songs.

"Lullaby" - This woozy tune formerly existed only in live form, but around Christmas of 2005 Boyd released this MP3, recorded when MossEisley were choosing songs to add to their second EP.

Other Recordings

"One More Day With You" - A product of the Fool's Banquet songwriters workshop hosted by the boys of Hanson, this hauntingly beautiful song is the first to feature Chauntelle singing lead since the days of "Pretender." Zac Hanson and VAST's John Crosby provide backing vocals and instrumentals.

"Ian Is Amazingly Beautiful" - New Found Glory bassist Ian Grushka asked Sherri and Stacy to write a song for him. They did. It's awesome.

Live Tracks

Most of these have been recorded by Chad from live footage that Boyd periodically distributes on the Eisley forum. Most of them have not been released in either EP or full-length record form.

"Lady of the Woods" - Stacy's solo introduction to Eisley's performace at the North Texas Music Festival, October 2003. See the Videos section for more recent versions of this song.

"Silver Bugs" - This joyous song has only been recorded in live form. A fan requested this one during a soundcheck, and the band graciously complied.

"Sun Feet" - This gorgeous and exotic song was a contender for Room Noises, and although it was cut from the final tracklist there are rumors that it will soon be available.

"They All Surrounded Us" - Yet another fan favorite, this adventurous song went through some lyrical changes when it was being considered for Room Noises, but fans were grateful to hear that the band returned to the original chorus.

"Vintage People" - This performance from New Year's Eve 2004/2005 had Eisley fans very excited. A demo version of the song later appeared as an iTunes download on the Telescope Eyes EP.

"Queen of Leaves" - This slow, mysterious song has not been recorded or played live since the end of 2003.

"Lullaby" - Classic Eisley fantasy lyrics combine with an innovative rhythm and gorgeous melody in this awesome live track.

"Cobalt/Cookie Cutter Mystery" - This intriguing live track was discovered by Eisley forum member drenchedecent. It's from a concert in early 2002, and Kim DuPree confirmed in this thread that MossEisley originally called the song "Cobalt" and then changed it to "Cookie Cutter Mystery." It's never been recorded for an album.

"I Don't Wanna Know" - Sherri DuPree sang with New Found Glory on this song throughout the Back To Basics Tour, and this performance came from Fuse's Daily Download--see the Videos section for a clip. (Huge thanks to thesinisterpenguin for supplying the MP3 after I lost it!)

"Many Funerals" live at the Norva
Eisley unveiled this new song at the Austin City Limits festival, and Boyd delivered a clip of it at last after the Norva show on the Switchfoot tour. the ignorance motif from the Laughing City ripped this high-quality MP3. This is a very different kind of Eisley song.

"O Come Emmanuel" performed by the Tyler Vineyard Worship Team
Sherri and Stacy, along with their sister Christie, family friend Jessie, and mom Kim, perform in the worship team of the Tyler Vineyard Church whenever they're not on tour. This impressive rendition of a beloved Christmas song was posted by Boyd in late 2005.
