| "Sea Queen"
by Gregory J. Garrett
On the surface of the ocean
Sways a Sea Queen,
She was my Queen.
Rose from the crowd
Smiled down as they bowed.
Rose from the crowd
She rose from the crowd.
She floats away,
She won't stay
And I pray
She comes back one day...
Sea Queen,
Sea Queen,
Can't you see that you're so flitty?
Sea Queen,
You're so mean,
And without fins you can't swim far.
In adagio clouds above us,
There reigns a Sea Queen,
She was my Queen.
Waves and Ripples (-were-)
Wrapping all around her,
All around her,
Wind in her hair.
She floats away,
She won't stay
And I pray
She comes back one day...
Sea Queen,
Sea Queen,
Can't you see that you're so flitty?
Sea Queen,
You're so mean,
And without fins you can't swim far.
She didn't know what to do
(-her hopes just sank right through-)
And that's sad.
Sea Queen,
Sea Queen,
Can't you see that you're so flitty?
Sea Queen,
You're so mean,
And without fins you can't swim to your star. |
